To propagate string of pearls, first fill a small pot with well-draining soil mix, such as cactus or succulent soil. Take a healthy stem from the mother plant and carefully remove any leaves from the bottom half of the stem. Place the stem in the soil and lightly pat down the soil to secure it in place. Water the soil until it is moist, but not soggy, and place the pot in a location that receives indirect sunlight. Keep the soil moist but not saturated, and in a few weeks, you should see new growth. Once the new plant has established itself, you can gradually increase the amount of sunlight it receives. Keep in mind that string of pearls is a slow-growing plant, so it may take several months to a year for the new plant to reach a significant size.
