Alocasia

Alocasia is a genus of flowering plants in the arum family, Araceae. They are native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. Alocasia plants are known for their large, glossy, arrow-shaped leaves and their distinctive, elephant ear-like appearance. They are popular as ornamental plants, both outdoors in warm climates and as houseplants in cooler climates. Alocasia plants are typically grown for their attractive foliage, as their flowers are small and not particularly showy. They are relatively easy to care for, but they do require bright, indirect light and regular watering to thrive.
